It is the last installment in my Eleanor Calder style series for a while, and today we are talking about something that I pretty much bought because she had it. H&M is my very favorite store to shop in. I have one in my home town and not my college town. Whenever I am home, I go a little crazy because I have been away from it for a while. I make a lot of trips there to see what kind of stuff they are getting in. She had posted the picture below on Instagram shortly before one of those trips. I saw the shirt in the store and had to have it. I have always been a sucker for graphic T-shirts especially if they have a vintage band/TV show/movie on them. Honestly, I bought this shirt with the intention of wearing it every time I go to the beach and pool as a swimsuit coverup. I just appreciate the irony. Also, I love to tuck it into my disco pants and throw a cardigan over it for class. Today, I paired it with some jean shorts for a casual summer look! Hope you like it!

Top: H&M (Similar option here)
Shorts: Forever 21 (in a different wash here)
Shoes: Target
Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters (available here & post on them here)

Since I use this as a swimsuit coverup and she is on the water in her picture, I decided to share what I will be wearing when I hit the pool this summer. She tends to go for American Apparel swimwear if you are interested in that. I was really on the hunt for some high-waisted bottoms and a cropped top to pair with them. I'm not a huge fan of showing a lot of skin, so it was important to me to stay pretty covered up. I finally found those pieces, and I can't wait to wear them. Those are below as well as links to pick them up if you are interested.

Top: Kohl's (available here)
Bottoms: PacSun (similar here)

I hope you guys have enjoyed this installment in my Style Icon series. If you have any suggestions of people that I should check out for future posts, feel free to leave them in the comments. I'm going to take at least a month off from this, so I can share some things I've been excited about posting. I hope you'll come back to check those out!

Time for another Eleanor Calder style steal. I was going to talk about what she wore the first time One Direction performed at MSG because I loved her outfit. Then, I realized that was in December in New York City and is way too hot for Alabama this time of year (Maybe, I can throw that one in towards the end of this year). I switched focus to when she and Louis went to some events at the London Olympics. This is just another example of her look being quite simple and classic.

She chose a pale yellow Zara dress with lace detailing on the top and a Topshop sweater to go over it. Both of those pieces are sold out now, but I'm going to talk about how I recreated the look today.

Sweater: Old Navy
Dress: Kohls
Shoes: Forever 21

I chose a dress that a has a lace top because I really liked that detail in her outfit. Lace instantly makes outfits feel more soft and feminine. I chose to add a little sparkle with the sweater. It doesn't come across in pictures, but the lighter stripes do have some shine to them. You can never go wrong with an outfit like this. It's simple and will always be in style. These pieces are also very easy to mix and match with other things which is something I always look for when shopping. This is definitely a go-to dressy outfit for the spring/summer time.

I hope you guys liked this Eleanor inspired post! Next week, I am going to be talking about an article of clothing that is exactly the same as hers, and I'm excited about it. If you any suggestions for people to focus on posts like these, I would love to hear them. Just pop a comment down below!

Since I talked about her tour style last week, I wanted to share something inspired by her street style this time. Taylor looks amazing wherever she goes. Her street style usually includes a dress or some high waisted shorts. Today, I wanted to choose an outfit that was a little different for her. I have been obsessed with it since I saw the pictures of her in it. Taylor is no stranger to a great varsity jacket. For a quick example, she wore one while performing 22 on her Red Tour. If you want to see that one, I included that outfit in this post! This post is about an outfit she wore for one of her Rolling Stone covers and took to the streets of New York. If you are wanting to see that cover, it is here! She genuinely looks like she walked straight out of a fashion magazine. Everything about it screams effortlessly cool. This style steal is definitely more "inspired by" than a direct outfit steal like last weeks. I love this as a casual outfit on a windy spring day. It is so easy, and it feels so chic. I hope you enjoy!

Jacket: Forever 21
Shirt: H&M
Shorts: Forever 21
Boots: Wanted

To put together this outfit, the main thing you are going to need is the varsity-style jacket. I have been seeing a lot more of those in stores and magazines lately, so hopefully it won't be too hard to find. All of the other pieces are very basic. I chose one of my favorite graphic T-shirts (love a good Mean Girls reference) but any white shirt will do. If you are going for the true Taylor look, I would suggest tucking the shirt. She has loved doing that recently, and it adds a polished element to any look. I picked my plain denim shorts over a colored pair. Something about jean shorts feels really classic and All-American to me, so I thought it went perfectly with this look. Taylor is wearing an Oxford-style shoe with hers. I am still on the hunt for a great pair of those, so I threw on my trusty black boots. Throw on your favorite pair of shades (Hers are Ray-Ban Wayfarers, and mine are Clubmasters), and you are ready to go!

Is there any celebrity whose street style you really love?

Time for my first style steal! I chose to start with an outfit pretty directly taken from one of her concert outfits. This is the first outfit that she wore on her Red Tour this past year. I think that she ended up wearing 10 different outfits in the show, but she spent more time in this one than any other. It was definitely one of my favorites and one of the more everyday wearable outfits from the show. One of the things that I really love about this outfit is that she used red as a pop of color throughout it. Red really strongly contrasts with a black and white outfit, so it made the color stand out a lot more. I'm going to break down what I'm wearing below. Hope you like it!

Now that you've seen it all up close and personal, I'm going to tell you where I got everything.

Shirt: Forever 21
Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: Keds by Taylor Swift
Necklace: Forever 21

The main points to hit for recreating this outfit are a white top, a black high-waisted bottom, and pops of red throughout. I even threw in red nails (Wet N Wild Megalast Polish in Taking the Red-Eye) and her signature red lip (Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 01). It is a super simple one to put together, and I think you'll get lots of compliments in something like this. Can't wait to share a more casual Taylor-inspired outfit with you next Saturday!

Do you have a favorite outfit that you have seen on a performer at a concert?
