I'm trying to make myself more okay with this time change by breaking out florals and repping my girl T-Swift. This skirt is from one of my favorite blog's collection at Target, Who What Wear (which is gorgeous). I tried it on when it was still in store and was lucky enough to find it on sale later. It was only 4 dollars at my local Dirt Cheap which only makes it 1000x better. A pencil skirt is always a good idea, and the midi length is a fresh twist on a classic silhouette. I love mixing dressier pieces with casual ones, so I paired the skirt with one of my favorite T-shirts (now on sale!) and high tops. Mixing and matching this way is one of my favorite ways to get more out of my closet. Not only does it make your pieces more versatile, it also opens your eyes to more options. Once I found the first combination that worked, I found myself much more willing to try more of my pieces together. If you've found yourself in a style rut, maybe try this out before you run out to the store to buy a bunch of new clothes. This way doesn't hurt your wallet.

Everything is linked down below. Who What Wear changes the patterns on their skirts every season, so that link is for the styles they currently have!

My purple hair has been inspiring me to let my inner aesthetic out. If I could look like this all the time, I really think I would. I mentioned last week in this post that I was planning on a short series featuring some of my favorite boots. Today, we're pulling out the trusty Doc Martens. They always give me serious 90s vibes, and I love how clunky they are. I used to make jokes about how if I could get one good kick to the shins in with these that I could win any fight. They are a classic way to toughen up any outfit. I also love the silhouette and how much of a style statement the pants can make (killer Beetlejuice impression, am I right?). Styled with all black, they stand out perfectly, and vertical stripes are always flattering. Since they are neutral, I can also wear them with T-shirts casually or let other pieces shine. I threw in a couple of lip options for you. Both are from NYX with one more neutral and one for my risk takers...

I had to do some digging to find the best matches for the top and pants because I did buy them a while ago. I found some spot on tops and great similar options for the pants for you guys! Details and more photos below!

Top // Old Navy // Similar // Similar
Cigarette Pants // Forever 21 // Houndstooth Pair // Gray and White // B&W Striped Leggings
Shoes // Doc Marten
Hair // Arctic Fox Purple Rain
Lips // NYX Lip Lingerie in Embellishment and NYX Liquid Suede in Alien
Necklace // Amazon Name Plate Necklace

If you've got ideas of more ways that I can rock this black lipstick, please let me know in the comments below! Also let me know what your favorite way to toughen up an outfit is?

Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope you've had a great start to your 2017 so far. Now that spring semester has started, that means prom and wedding seasons are just around the corner. I know that it may still be a while off, but it is never too early to start online dress shopping! This week, I've partnered up with AisleStyle.co.uk to show you guys some of my favorite picks from their website. They have a large selection of all kinds of dresses including Bridesmaid Dresses UK, Prom Dresses, and Communion Dresses which makes them a great place to check out during this season. They also have wedding dresses, homecoming dresses, and dresses for weddings when you are a guest. Most dresses are available in a large variety of colors, so you should be able to find something that fits your personal style! I loved that they had a lot of simple options in the bridesmaid section, but there was definitely some sparkle in the prom section. No matter what style you're thinking of going with, I think AisleStyle makes for a great first stop as you begin the shopping process.

Hello!

I recently got a sneak peek of a brand new line Warby Parker x Leith that just dropped today! They have teamed up for a second time with stylist and editor Leith Clark to create a drop dead gorgeous line of eyeglasses and awesome sunglasses as well.  Not only does this line speak to my soul aesthetically, it also comes with a lot of perks. One of my favorite things about Warby Parker is that the frames are available for glasses or sunglasses, and you can tell they put thought into making sure they look great as both. As a person who doesn't need glasses yet, I was excited to see both available. For every pair you purchase, a pair of glasses is donated to someone in need. I love that more companies are starting to do this! I think it's a great way to shop for things you love and be able to help someone at the same time. As a special part of this collaboration, they are also donating to one of Leith's favorite foundations which is Girl Up, the United Nation's campaign that helps teach girls leadership skills! It also raises awareness and funds for many programs for girls around the world. This program is definitely one that calls out to me, and I love when companies partner with foundations that their designer is passionate about.

This collection is giving me some serious vintage vibes. Every frame looks so timeless and effortlessly cool! I can't wait to get my hands on a pair. I love the soft pinks throughout, the cat eye silhouettes, and the little details you see on the metal frames. I've included some of my favorites down below. Be sure to check out the collection HERE!

Hello! I've been having Teen Wolf withdrawals recently, and I remembered this draft that had never gotten posted. (I've also been missing the beautiful background that my hometown provides). I realize that this might not be the most stylish outfit you've ever seen, but I still felt it was worth sharing. It combines some of the things I love most: Dylan O'Brien, baseball shirts, and my trusty Converse. If you haven't watched Teen Wolf before, let me take a moment to explain. On the show, most of the main male characters play lacrosse for their school Beacon Hills. This shirt is a play on that with the number that Dylan's character, Stiles Stilinski, wears on the show and a cheeky nod to the werewolf aspect by replacing the cyclone mascot on the front with a howling wolf (shown on the left pocket area).
I want to take this moment to talk about a great website if you are a serious pop culture lover like me. It's called Skreened.com. It lets people upload and sell their own designs and allows you to custom design your own shirts. Because these are real people designing, you can find shirts for any fandom you want. Most of the T-Shirts you see on Pinterest are available on Skreened. This is the second thing I've purchased from them, and I've loved them both. If you're like me and like to have shirts to match the shows you're watching, this is the website for you. They've got sales on all the time, so I would suggest joining their e-mail list and waiting it out. Pictures and details below.

Hello! In the time since I joined Tumblr, I've seen a lot of pictures of girls wearing over the knee socks. I've never been able to find them or known what to wear them with, so I stayed away for a while. In the fall time, I was at Urban Outfitters and saw the perfect pair. I don't know about you guys, but sometimes to figure out how to style something I just have to go ahead and buy it. Once I have it, I make an effort to find different ways to wear them. That is what I wanted to share with you today. I'm also really excited to show off my new Kate Spade watch that I got over Christmas break. It's rose gold, so I'm obviously in love. I've got a couple ways that I wear my over the knee socks and all the outfit details below!

Sweater: H&M (similar) // Shorts: Forever 21 // Tights: Urban Outfitters // Socks: Urban Outfitters // Shoes: Converse // Watch: Kate Spade // Bag: DSW

Dress: Forever 21 (similar) // Shoes: Target (similar)
